Friend Tech LLC (“Friend Tech,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. Our mission is to provide a social platform built around real friendships—without behavioral tracking, cross-app surveillance, or the sale of personal information. We offer a free, ad-supported tier and a paid Pro subscription that removes ads and adds Pro features.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to the Friend Tech mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
We believe a social platform can be supported by advertising without surveilling its users. Friend Tech offers a free tier supported by non-personalized ads and paid subscription tiers that remove ads. Whichever tier you use, we do not track you across other apps and websites, sell your personal information, or build behavioral advertising profiles about you.
Note on payment data: Subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Those platforms process your payment and act as merchant of record; we do not receive or store your full payment card number. We receive only confirmation of your subscription status (for example, which plan is active and when it renews or expires).
We use strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, maintain your session, remember your preferences, and protect the security and integrity of the Service. On the free, ad-supported tier, our advertising provider’s software also uses a device identifier for frequency capping, measurement, and fraud prevention. We do not use advertising cookies or identifiers to track you across other apps and websites or to build a behavioral profile of you. Where required by law, we will obtain your consent before setting any non-essential cookies or serving ads that rely on device identifiers.

We DO NOT sell your personal information. We disclose personal information only in the limited circumstances described below.
These providers may access personal information only to the extent necessary to perform services for us and are contractually obligated to protect it and to use it only for the purposes we specify.
We may disclose information if we reasonably believe it is required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or where necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Friend Tech, our users, or the public.
If Friend Tech is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of its assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. See “Corporate Changes” below for the commitments that apply.
We share the content and information you choose to share through the Service with the friends and recipients you select.
The free tier of Friend Tech is supported by advertising configured to serve non-personalized ads only. Non-personalized ads are matched to the general content of the app and your approximate (country/region-level) location derived from your IP address. They are not based on your interests, your behavior, or a profile of you.
In connection with serving these ads, our advertising provider receives your IP address and limited device and ad-interaction information, and uses a device identifier for frequency capping, measurement, and fraud prevention. Because we use non-personalized ads:
You can avoid ads entirely by subscribing to a paid, ad-free tier. Where required by law (for example, in the EEA and the UK), we will request your consent before serving ads that rely on a device identifier.
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or for the limited purposes described above.
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. Current measures include:

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in the “Contact Us” section. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If you are in the EEA, UK, or California, additional rights and protections may apply as described above.
If Friend Tech LLC is acquired by or merged with another company, or undergoes a financing or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. Any successor must honor the privacy commitments in effect at the time the information was collected, unless and until users are given notice and a meaningful opportunity to delete their accounts before any materially different practices take effect.
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under the higher minimum age required in your jurisdiction). If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child below the applicable minimum age without proper consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us.
Friend Tech is based in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards—such as Standard Contractual Clauses—to protect personal information transferred internationally.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app, by email, or by other appropriate means, and we will update the “Effective Date” above. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
