FRiENDS — Child Safety Standards
FRiENDS is a private social app for sharing photos, videos and messages with
people you already know. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and
exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming,
sextortion and any sexualisation of minors.
What is prohibited
- Any content that depicts, promotes or links to the sexual abuse or
exploitation of a minor, including drawn, edited or AI-generated imagery
- Contacting, grooming or soliciting a minor for sexual purposes
- Threatening to share intimate images of anyone, including a minor
- Using FRiENDS to trade, request or advertise CSAM
These rules apply to posts, stories, comments, chats, group chats, profiles
and every other part of the app.
Who can use FRiENDS
You must be at least 13 years old, or older where local law requires it. See
our Terms of Service.
How to report
- In the app: choose Report on any post,
comment, message, profile or group, then pick Child Safety.
- By email:
alex@joinfriendsapp.com.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services
first. In the United States you can also report to the National Center for
Missing & Exploited Children at
report.cybertip.org.
What we do when something is reported
- Child safety reports are handled ahead of every other type of report. Content
reported for child safety is hidden from view as soon as it is reported, while
we review it.
- When we confirm a violation, we remove the content and permanently ban the
account.
- We preserve the material and report apparent CSAM to the National Center for
Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), as US law requires
(18 U.S.C. § 2258A). We cooperate with law enforcement.
- Anyone can block another user at any time. A blocked user cannot see or
contact you.
